LINEWATCH: Michael Dixon is a veteran boarder patrolman in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Now, things in his past are going to threaten his future. He was a member of the violent L.A. gang scene, that he somehow got away from. When a chance encounter shows where he lives to his old gang, he and his family are put in a dangerous situation. For the sake of his family, he will take a huge risk, and help gang leader drake gat a large supply of drugs from Mexico into the U.S.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This film tells us the tale of Dr. Bruce Banner, who has become the green Hulk. This film is an epic tale of the comic character the Hulk. Key cast members are Edward Norton, Tim Roth and Liv Tyler. Louis Leterrier directs this film. The film style is sci-fi/action-thriller.

Cast includes Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers.

THE HAPPENING: Science teacher Elliot Moore, with his wife and many other frightened people are escaping Philadelphia by train. The northeastern U.S. has been thrown into chaos. People have been afflicted by some strange illness, and are dying at their own hands. Can we find an answer, or is this the last stand of the human race?

IRON MAN: Super stud, engineering expert, Tony Stark is attacked and taken by Afghan insurgents. They try to force him to create weapon systems for the insurgent group. He sustained injuries while he was being captured, and has shrapnel stuck in his chest. To overcome his wound, and escape his captors, he creates a suit made of armor, that give him incredible strength and defense. We have a new comic book super hero on the scene.

SPEED RACER: A cartoon from the 90's gets real actors. Just like the movie The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned to a movie with an actual cast. Born into the family business, Speed Racer is a young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a major rally car race that his older brother had died racing in. Against all odds, and his families business at stake, he suprisingly teams up with his former adversary Racer X, in a last ditch effort to give himself a chance to win, and keep his families racing business alive.

Kansas Tourism - filled with interesting history, beautiful prair

Many people think of Kansas tourism as this flat wasteland in the center of the United States. How wrong they are! Kansas is filled with interesting history, beautiful prairielands, museums, cultural events and attractions and the nicest people anywhere. You can travel in Kansas going from the large city of Kansas City to the little bitty town of Garnett where hospitality is shown in abundance.

When I tell you that you can visit the small towns it's no joke. Kansas has a large number of towns under 1000 people. Take Selden for example. Here, according to the July 2007 report there is a population of 177. Even though there are small towns there is huge pride and friendliness so stop in and say hello. There is land enough to give you some space, views that go on for "ever" and history that will keep you interested for hours on end. Try your luck hunting the pheasants at one of the ranches or farms that take you out during the season.

Ghosts, goblins and scary homes, that's what you can expect when you visit the "Most Haunted Town in Kansas." Atchison not only takes pride in this title but they have the Haunted Atchison Trolley Tour in September and October to take visitors around to the different homes that are acclaimed to be haunted. You will ride on the 1880 AT&SF trolley while seeing houses such as the McIntreer Villa where lights in the tower go on and off and there is not electricity there, ghosts appear in the windows and in family photos. Hear the footsteps that are in rooms where there is no one and doors closing in rooms that are empty. Scary! The one hour tour will show you a number of homes in the community that are claimed to be haunted...come and find out all about them.

If you enjoy the unique you will enjoy Henry's Sculpture Hill near Augusta. Here are an array of sculptures created from steel and/or found objects which will enchant you and entertain you. Since this is a private hill, the creator has stopped giving tours for now because of "maintenance, insurance, old age, and attitude, [but] serious buyers who are looking for original steel sculptures are welcome by appointment." So, if you see something you want to buy, make sure you go and talk to him, otherwise, just look and leave him alone for now. How refreshing to have someone of his artistic talent be so brutally honest.

There are times in our lives when being in the Garden of Eden seems like it would be a fabulous way to live. Obviously Dinsmoor of Lucas, Kansas thought so too. Following the Civil War this retired school teacher spent his final 31 years building his Garden of Eden. The "log cabin" was built with limestone logs up to 27 ft long and put together just like a log house would be constructed. None of the windows or doors are the same size to give the house a unique appearance. He then went on to build his garden which contains 113 tons of concrete adn with limestone and tells the history of the world starting with its creation. He gave tours of his 11 room house for years and now, you can see it and enjoy the history even though he has been gone for years! The cost for the tour is just $6 for adults and $1 for children so it is an inexpensive break from traditional sites.

Manhattan has more than college football. There is the great Fort Riley where you can really get to study military history. As part of your learning experience you can visit the last cavalry training stables with its original cobblestone flooring which used to house 76 horses. Today it still houses horses for the Commanding General's Mounted Color Guard where 20 head are ready for parade all the time. This facility was built in 1889. This is just one of the many historical sites you can see and learn about while at the Fort. Although today the technology and advancements in military power are constantly being updated, history is still worth learning about.

Take the Gypsum Hills Scenic Byway to see the true color of Kansas. Here the hills are filled with canyons, rolling hills, mesas and buttes in stunning color, right in central Kansas. The red cedar tress add a beautiful touch to the terrain. The land is red because it is full of iron oxide which is actually rust. Get off the paved roads to see the real beauty but keep in mind that this is open range so keep your eyes open for animals.

How many towns do you know that have two water towers? Probably a lot of them, but have you ever seen a town that has a Hot and Cold water tower? Canton has these two which must bring a chuckle to residents when visitors ask if it's really true that one has hot and one has cold! It sure does show that those Kansas folks have a great sense of humor.
